NVARC members coordinate and participate in many public service events throughout the year. Members regularly volunteer for the Boston Marathon, the Townsend Lion's Club Canoe Race, the Project Bread Walk for Hunger, and the Jimmy Fund Walk. In 2015 we started supporting Thinking Day On The Air. We have coordinated and provided ham radio communications for the Groton Road Race, the Parker Road Race, the Groton Memorial Day parade, the Pepperell Fourth of July parade, the Alzheimer's Association Ride to end Alzheimer's, and the Pepperell Fall Classic Soccer Tournament. We also participated in the Fitchburg Longsjo Classic bicycle race and the Massachusetts Highway Department Adopt-a-Highway program for many years.
