Amateur Radio Field Day is an annual nationwide emergency communications exercise and contest conducted over a 24-hour period on the fourth full weekend of June. Several countries in the International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) [IARU in Wikipedia] hold similar exercises on various dates [Field Day in Wikipedia].
Dave Pease of Pepperell Community Media has produced two very fine records of NVARC Field Day activities: NVARC Field Day 2011 video, NVARC Field Day 2010 video.
The 2012 Field Day dates are June 23 and 24.
The NVARC Field Day site is the apple orchard owned by the Pepperell Conservation Commission on Heald Street. The entrance is a gate on Heald Street at the west side of the orchard.
Other Field Day sites throughout the country may be found via the ARRL Field Day Locator. Additional information on sites in Eastern Massachusetts may be found in the ARRL Eastern Massachusetts Field Day database.
